John Martin started playing guitar at 11 years old.  He first began plectrum style with one of the finest players in the country - Jack Toogood, and then went on to study classical guitar at the Royal Academy, London, under Hector Quine.  John then started his professional career as a session player and played in many West End theatres, bands and orchestras.  As John got better known he was asked to play on many ITV and BBC programmes where he played for countless artists such as Peggy Lee, Paul McCartney, Frank Sinatra (Festival Hall, London) and many more famous performers.  John now lives in Hove where he has his own recording set-up and of course teaches students of all ages and abilities.
